Today, the MV Alexia was launched successfully at our shipyard. This new building is the successor of the award-winning Egbert Wagenborg and her sisters Máxima and Amalia. The MV Alexia type is the fourth vessel in the EasyMax series in the Wagenborg fleet according to our new energy efficiency targets.
Today marks a significant milestone in the decommissioning of the G14B offshore platform located in the North Sea, as Wagenborg successfully started to mobilize the pontoon 'Wagenborg Barge 11' in her homeport Delfzijl for this task. Royal Niestern Sander was awarded the steel work scope in the methanol conversion of the ‘Fugro Pioneer’.
