Inland vessel 'Romera' shortened with 20 meters

Since mid-January, the 'Romera', an inland vessel with a length of more than 130 meters, had been on the slipway for a radical action.

Niestern Sander has been asked by the owner of the ship to shorten the ship to 109.45 meters in order to comply with sailing restrictions in the Swiss part of the Rhine.

A section mid-ship has now been removed and the ship was being reassembled. The ship left the shipyard in the end of January under the name 'Basilea'.
