Measures against COVID-19

Measures against COVID-19

We all feel the impact of the Corona virus on our society. The implications in all countries do vary and change every day.

What did we do to comply with or pro-actively arrange for a safe continuation of our mutual business?

As a shipyard, we had to take sector-specific measures for which we follow the advice of the Dutch government and the guidelines of RIVM.

Yard locations

  • We have maximized the number of people per room to ensure a distance of at least 1.5 meters from each other.
  • We have instructed our shipbuilding and ship repair crews not to board ships and accommodations if this is not strictly necessary.
  • We have set up one-way traffic as much as possible on routes, entrances and exits of ships and in halls.
  • We have additional access control at our locations to minimize the unnecessary presence of people on location. Access is not possible without an appointment.

Office

  • our offices are open, but in line with the measures of the Dutch government, office workers are facilitated as much as possible to work from home. This is how processes can continue.
  • all participation in external meetings and events have been cancelled;
  • we do not receive external visitors to our offices, except mail delivery and goods suppliers. They are treated remotely with general hygiene rules.

Travel

  • To minimize the risk of contamination, our employees are not allowed to travel for work-related activities.

We think these measures help protect our people and visitors. We expect your understanding for this.

Let’s take care of each other, keep in touch and stay healthy.
