Yard number 858 was successfully launched at the shipbuilding yard of Niestern Sander, Delfzijl. Last week, this Landing Utility Vessel was blasted, metallized and painted in a special tent on the quay side.

First in a series of three

Yard number 858 is the first in a series of three Landing Utility Vessels (2712LUV), to be delivered to Dess Aquaculture Shipping in Grimstad, Norway, and has been developed and designed by Argos Engineering in Groningen. The ships will be working in the fish farms of Marine Harvest in Scotland. Meanwhile, the production of yard  number 859 is in full swing and the production of construction number 860 has just started.
