First Landing Utility Vessel grit blasted, metalized and painted

The first Landing Utility Vessel (LUV) with construction number 858 has now been blasted, metallized and painted at the construction site of shipyard Royal Niestern Sander.

Perfect conditions

A month ago, the hull of this Landing Utility Vessel was transported from the construction hall to a special tent on the quay side. Here the steel surfaces have been blasted, metalized and painted under perfect conditions. Meanwhile, the shipyard in Delfzijl has started the installation works on board.

First in a series of three

Yard number 858 is the first in a series of three Landing Utility Vessels (2712LUV), to be delivered to Dess Aquaculture Shipping in Grimstad, Norway, and has been developed and designed by Argos Engineering in Groningen. The ships will be working in the fish farms of Marine Harvest in Scotland. Meanwhile, the production of yard  number 859 is in full swing and the production of construction number 860 has just started.
