Royal Niestern Sander has a wide, multi-specialized experience in ship repairs. The company has specialists in all existing sub-disciplines. This is an appropriate response to the demand for surveys, appraisals and the possible subsequent maintenance and repair orders.
The national and international customer base includes large and small commercial vessels, inland-vessels, tugboats and ferry services, the rescue company, the offshore industry, coastal and marine fisheries and the government. The repair facilities of Royal Niestern Sander include a slipway with a length of 147 metres and a lightweight of 1,650 tonnes per ship. There are also several repair quays available, both inside and outside the dikes.
The outer dike repair site has two floating docks, of which dock I is suitable for the docking of vessels with a length x width of 125 x 18,50 metres and a weight of 6,000 tonnes (abt. 10,000 dwt). Dock II is suitable for the docking of vessels with a length x width of 185 x 25 metres and a weight of 11,000 tonnes (abt. 20,000 dwt).
The company guarantees speed, accuracy and quality. These components are put to use for regular maintenance, emergency repairs such as shell-, bottom-, or rudder-damages, but also to repair or replace equipment. Furthermore, the yard specializes in conversions and lengthenings and the construction, furnishing and installation of accommodation modules. The yard has a large network of subcontractors and suppliers in the immediate vicinity of Delfzijl.
